Kensington Prep School, The Girls’ Day School Trust

An estate wide upgrade comprising nine separate work areas providing classrooms, laboratories, art facilities and an innovation centre.

Royal High School, Bath

Working with the Girls’ Day School Trust the majority of the roof coverings were replaced or repaired which included slate roofing, lead flat roofs, copper roofs and various stone detailing.

The project also included extensive window and stonework repairs whilst the scaffolding was in place.

The project was split into four separate phases to ensure no buildings were out of action during term times.

Cricket Pavilion, Dauntsey’s School, Wiltshire

The project involved the complete refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed timber framed and clad cricket pavilion constructed in the early 1930s.

The building was in a poor state of affairs prior to the works. The timbers and cladding were decaying, it had no insulation and suffered from water ingress and a few holes. The facilities it provided no longer met the School’s needs either as the changing rooms in each wing contained bare benches, no showers and very limited toilet facilities.

Not only were all of the above addressed we added in a disabled platform lift to enable the facility to be used by disabled guests.

New Pavilion, Dauntsey’s School, Wiltshire

The project was located on split level ground with the main car park at one level and the sports pitches at a lower level. The Architect created a two-storey building with the lower ground floor set into the sloping site to the car park side and open to the sports pitches side.

The lower ground floor area provides eight team changing rooms, two officials changing rooms and an accessible changing room. The upper ground floor provides a large multi-purpose social room with floor to ceiling glazing, kitchen servery, bar, staff/meeting room, toilets, a store and external terraces to three sides. The terrace provides far reaching views across the school as a whole and to the landscape beyond.

The Awdry Sports Centre, Dauntsey’s School, Wiltshire

The project involved the infilling of an existing space between two existing buildings – one being the main school Swimming Pool and the other being the Sports Hall.

The infill provided a central focus to the sports facilities as well as renewing changing facilities (both dry and wet change), new shower and toilet facilities, creation of new classrooms and a dance studio/space and an entrance foyer/atrium with trophy cabinets.

Hinguar Primary School and Nursery, Shoeburyness

The project comprises the phased construction of a new primary school with extensive external works including wildlife areas, recreation facilities and external teaching environments.
